I am a 60 something wife and mother to four children, the last of whom attended Ladies College. I am a State Registered Nurse, have run a retail business and have accountancy and book-keeping skills. Marriage led to the family living in Japan and Hong Kong, where I was involved with the Hong Kong University and various Charities. On return to the UK, we lived in the Isle of Wight. I was Chairman of the Isle of Wight Conservatives, Governor of the local Primary and Church Warden, followed by Trustee of a national mental health charity SANE and am now Chairman of SANE. We have been in Guernsey for 14 years. I joined the board of Guernsey Alzheimer's and did some voluntary work at St Martin's School and with the Riding for the disabled. I served on the Shadow Board of the College of Further Education and joined the Guernsey Tax and Planning Tribunals.

My strengths are working with people as a team player. I am pragmatic, able to listen and have a large amount of common sense necessary to see through to the bigger picture. These are attributes I feel are needed when working in the States.

Why I am Standing

I believe passionately in the potential of Guernsey to aspire and adapt to the changing world around us. I believe I have the necessary skills and experience to work with others in the States to create a Guernsey that works for all.
